Two talks and a reading

September 15, 2023

Bookings are now open for the fifth ‘Inner Room’ celebration of National Poetry Day, at St Stephen’s Church, on Thursday 5th October 2023.

We’re delighted to welcome Professor Ralph Pite of the University of Bristol for two 45-minute talks (plus a Q&A session). His theme is how poetry can help us to respond to the climate emergency.

At 10.30am, he’ll consider the work of contemporary women poets and at 2.30pm the poetry and prose of Edward Thomas.

There will also be a poetry reading at 1pm by Inner Room members. Inner Room is our creative writing project – www.innerroom.co.uk for more details.

Please contact admin@parishofcentralexeter.co.uk to reserve your FREE place for either or both talks, or for the lunchtime poetry reading, saying which parts of the day you’re hoping to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there!
