Good Shout: National Poetry Day! Featuring Leanne Moden

September 29, 2023

So, it’s National Poetry day…should probably do a thing…
Good Shout is at Here We Aren’t, every first Thursday of the month; pay what you feel, doors at 6.30pm, start at 7pm. Spoken Word and Poetry open mic, first come first served. 10 minutes max per poet, but priority is given to new performers and those who travel! If you would like to perform, get in touch via facebook, or just turn up on the night; A handful of slots will be available on the door! If you’re unlucky enough not to get a slot this time round, fear not, you will be top of the list for next month.

This month our featured performer is Leanne Moden!
Leanne Moden is a poet, writer and educator, based in Nottingham. She’s originally from Wisbech (because someone has to be) and she writes poignant, funny and accessible poetry about trying to be human in a world that doesn’t always make that very easy. Leanne is currently writing strange stories for a new podcast series, and her second collection, ‘Get Over Yourself’ was released by Burning Eye Books in 2022.
