National Poetry Day is a big moment each year for libraries, which put on thousands of poetry displays and host events – readings, performances, creative groups – as the first Thursday in October rolls around. Book groups are a great way of engaging readers with poetry, so we’ve chosen TEN recommended book group reads, featuring writers and anthologists as varied as Roger Robinson, Kate Clanchy and Gyles Brandreth, to be enjoyed with these useful NPD 2020 Trade Campaign – Book Group Notes.
